Steele & Steele, L.L.C., is comprised of two brothers, Byron W. Steele and Brent E. Steele. The firm has an "AV" rating by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating reflecting both legal ability and professional ethical standards. The firm prides itself on its expertise and experience in estate planning and probate & estate administration. Byron and Brent benefited from working under their father's tutelage, whose legal career included forty-five years of probate law experience. The Steele firm has handled some of the largest estates in the history of Lawrence County, and all the estate work is handled at a reasonable cost to clients. Many of the local judges have even used the Steele firm for estate work, and local judges and attorneys refer friends and family members to the Steele firm because of the firm's expertise and experience in estate and probate matters.
Brent and Byron have over eighty (80) years of combined experience in all aspects of real estate law, having examined literally tens of thousands of real estate titles for two national banks. Their real estate practice includes extensive work in contract law and title insurance. Brent and Byron are both agents for National Attorneys Title Assurance Fund (NATAF), and they write title insurance for people who are buying or selling their homes, as well as mortgage insurance for scores of financial institutions and mortgage companies. Their title insurance business is called "Stone City Title Insurance Company," and they are "insured closers" of real estate transactions. Brent and Byron have written more than two thousand individual property purchases and closed hundreds of loans.
